Lake Views Cottage
Spaced over two floors, this cosy cottage set amidst 11ha of pine forest and abundant fynbos is fully equipped to meet your needs during your stay. Downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge furnished with a ceramic “Hot Art” fireplace to keep you warm and cosy during those long winter nights and a ceiling fan to keep you cool in the heat of an African summer. Full DSTV (satellite television) is also provided.
Outside on the large deck with its ample seating, you can enjoy exquisite sunsets with sundowners as you braai on a choice of portable or brick-built braai in the comfort of your own secure 1300m² enclosed private garden, while your children enjoy the “swings with a view”.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with a queen size bed and two ¾ extra length beds, leading to a spacious ¾ wrap-around deck. A separate full bathroom is equipped with shower cubicle and corner bath. In the grounds at Lake Views you will also find a splash pool with lapa, brick-built braai and a tree house (for intrepid little adventurers!), overlooking the Outeniqua Mountains and valley that lie to the rear of the property.
Additional Services and Facilities
- Our cottages are fully equipped to meet your every need during your stay, including additional heaters and fans, depending on the season, for every room.
- All bed linen and bath towels are supplied though we request that you provide your own beach towels should this be necessary.
- We provide a complimentary bottle of organic wine, organic milk and organic/free range eggs upon arrival, along with some other condiments such as tea, coffee and sugar that are often forgotten during the grocery shopping expedition.
- Complimentary natural and organic toiletries are also provided, as are natural cleaning materials.
- In addition, an iron and ironing board is provided in every cottage and a cot can be made available should you require it.
- An on-site laundry service is available at an additional charge and periodic housekeeping can be arranged (daily cleaning requirements will incur additional charges).
- An extensive area information folder is provided for your information and a safe for valuables is provided in each of the cottages.
- Parking is safe and secure and can accommodate more than one car.
- Due to our location Wireless internet connection is only available periodically but we do have good mobile phone coverage and most guests have found the signal sufficient to do any work, should they have to (much to their chagrin!).
- Whilst most guests find that, once here, they are “not that bothered” about television, we do provide full DSTV (Satellite television with 170+ channels).
